Egyptian Mosque Worker Placed Drugs In Wife’s Car To Frame Her

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 16: The General Directorate for Drug Control has arrested an Egyptian expatriate who allegedly attempted to frame his wife by planting narcotics in her vehicle.

According to a security source, investigations revealed that the expatriate placed a bag of methamphetamine in his wife’s car as an act of revenge following marital disputes. The source added that he will face multiple charges, including filing a false report, disturbing public peace, and possession of illegal drugs.

The expatriate reportedly confessed that personal conflicts with his spouse motivated him to commit this serious offense. Authorities have initiated the necessary legal procedures, and he has been referred to the Public Prosecution for a full investigation into all aspects of the case, including how he obtained the narcotics he planted.

It is noteworthy that the expatriate is employed as a muezzin with the Ministry of Awqaf and holds a residency permit under Article 17. The case underscores the serious consequences of attempting to misuse narcotics laws for personal vendettas.
