Egyptian Imam practicing Black magic

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 5: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested an Egyptian imam from a mosque in Sabah Al-Ahmad City for practicing magic and sorcery, reports Annahar daily.

A security source said the arrest came after police received several complaints about the illicit activity of the imam and put him under surveillance. Police then armed with a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution raided the man’s room and caught him red-handed.

During interrogation the imam said he was merely reciting the Quranic verses over his ‘patients’ to cure them of ills and that he was not involved in any black magic. He has been referred to the authorities for interrogation.
