Tools used in dismantling generators

KUWAIT CITY, April 11: A 1976-born Egyptian expatriate, who was sentenced in absentia to threeyear imprisonment, was arrested while stealing electrical generators from a transformer station near Farwaniya Hospital, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

According to security sources, when Ministry of Electricity and Water reported about theft of electrical generators, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah formed a security team to monitor the areas where there is high possibility for theft of generators.

The team noticed a person go to a transformer station near Farwaniya Hospital and they caught him trying to dismantle the generators. He was immediately arrested

. They checked his details and discovered he is an Egyptian who is wanted by law for enforcement of a judicial verdict which sentenced him in absentia to three-year imprisonment. When interrogated, he confessed to stealing a number of generators and selling them at scrap yards. Necessary action was taken after which he was referred to the Public Prosecution
