KUWAIT CITY, Jun 6: Kuwait’s Directorate for Drug Enforcement has arrested an Egyptian national in the Al-Manqaf area for possession of narcotics and psychotropic substances, as part of ongoing security operations targeting drug trafficking networks, the Ministry of Interior said.

The arrest came after intensive investigations and field surveillance, which led officers to the suspect and the seizure of 140 sheets of A4 paper laced in a narcotic chemical substance, 40 grams of hashish, 15 grams of crystal meth, 200 ml of CBD-related material, and two sensitive scales believed to be used for packaging and distribution.

Authorities noted that drug dealers have recently adopted new concealment methods, including chemically treated papers used to disguise narcotics and evade detection. However, the vigilance of anti-narcotics officers enabled the identification and interception of the illicit materials.

Legal proceedings have been initiated, and the suspect along with the seized items has been referred to the competent authorities. The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its continued crackdown on drug trafficking and its commitment to protecting society from narcotics-related crimes.
