KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: An Egyptian expat has been arrested after a Filipina woman allegedly reported that she had been raped and physically assaulted inside her residence.

The Operations Department reportedly received a notification from the South Nugra Clinic about a woman who arrived in a severely distressed condition and was alleged to have been subjected to rape and physical assault.

Security patrols immediately rushed to the clinic and met the woman, identified in the report as a Filipina expatriate born in 1973. She reportedly told officers that an Egyptian expatriate had allegedly raped her and assaulted her inside her residence.

The woman was subsequently transported by ambulance to the hospital for further medical examination and treatment.

Investigators from the Nugra Investigations Department launched an immediate investigation and reportedly identified and arrested the suspect, an Egyptian expatriate born in 1982, within a short period.

The suspect was referred to the competent authorities for further legal action. The case remains under investigation, and the judicial process has yet to determine the allegations.
