KUWAIT CITY, June 28: The national men’s volleyball team departs today for Cairo, Egypt, to hold a training camp as part of its final preparations for the West Asia Men’s Volleyball Championship, scheduled to take place in Oman from July 11 to 22.
The delegation is headed by board member Ziad Al-Anzi and includes administrative and technical staff: Abdullah Al-Ali (team administrator), Argentine head coach Julian Alvarez, assistant coach Zaid Al-Kazemi, fitness coach Agustin Javier, analyst Lux Borsch, and physiotherapist Mohammed Al-Yamam.
The squad for the camp includes Abdulnasser Al-Anzi, Rashid Anbar, Nasser Dashti, Ahmed Al-Munaies, Fares Suleiman, Abdullah Fares Al-Anzi, Adhbi Al-Anzi, Omar Al-Anzi, Mohammed Al-Dhafiri, Abdullah Al-Muwaineh, Fahd Saad Yaqoub, Ali Sadoon, Talal Ahmed Abdulrazzaq, and Saud Al-Duwaisan.
The technical staff is hopeful the Cairo camp will significantly boost the team’s physical and technical readiness, helping the squad reach peak condition ahead of the West Asia Championship, where “Al-Azraq” aims to deliver strong performances and positive results.
