Egyptian Man Becomes ‘Judge’ After Marriage Rejection, Runs Fake Court and Collects EGP 5 Million

CAIRO, Aug 3: A rejected marriage proposal apparently turned into a bizarre courtroom drama after a young man in Egypt allegedly created his own “court” to settle personal scores — and ended up convincing people he had real legal authority.

According to the circulating account, the man wanted to marry a woman, but her family rejected him. Instead of moving on, he reportedly decided to create a fake courtroom as an act of revenge.

The self-appointed “judge” allegedly arranged with three court employees to open courtrooms after official working hours. Wearing a shawl resembling judicial attire, he filmed videos and took photos while pretending to preside over legal hearings.

The unusual performance reportedly fooled several people, allowing him to impose fake fines and collect around 5 million Egyptian pounds from unsuspecting victims.

The man even appeared regularly on live broadcasts, telling followers: “I have a hearing today, my brothers — pray for me,” further adding to the illusion that he was a legitimate judge.

The most dramatic twist came when he allegedly brought the father of the woman who rejected his marriage proposal before his fake court, filed a case against him, and ordered him to pay a “fine” — apparently completing his personal revenge mission.
