KUWAIT CITY, April 18: Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry of Education Eng. Hamad Al- Hamad inaugurated the training workshop for academic technical guidance directors -- a move aimed at boosting the institutional capacity of the ministry for digital transformation.

In a press statement, the ministry disclosed that the General Directorate of Technical Guidance, Research and Curricula, through its Computer Technical Guidance Department, organized the workshop. This is considered a significant step in realizing the vision of the country for sustainable professional development in the educational sector. The intensive workshop, entitled “Google Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Administration and Education,” was held at the Office of the Undersecretary.

Director of the General Directorate of Technical Guidance, Research and Curricula Mohammad Al-Otaibi said the workshop is an integral part of a multifaceted strategy designed to modernize work mechanisms and enhance the educational field’s readiness to keep pace with rapid global advancements in artificial intelligence. Al-Otaibi stated that the workshop included a comprehensive review of sophisticated Google AI-powered tools and mechanisms for using them to improve performance efficiency, support decision-making, and develop teaching and assessment methodologies in line with global trends in digital education. He added the main objective of the workshop is to promote a high level of technical literacy among officials in the educational sector, so they can take advantage of modern technologies to improve the quality of academic outputs and achieve seamless synergy between administrative and educational functions.

Computer Technical Supervisors Abeer Ismail (Hawally Educational District) and Ghadeer Al-Foudari (Ahmadi Educational District), along with Social Studies Technical Supervisor Abdulrahman Al-Jumah (Capital Educational District) and English Language Technical Supervisor Mubarak Al-Randi conducted the workshop. They presented an in-depth analysis of Google applications in the field of artificial intelligence like Gemini and NotebookLM and its Studio tools, while providing training on using prompts, creating content using artificial intelligence, and its role in supporting educational and administrative work to improve performance and educational practices.
