KUWAIT CITY, Feb 20: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested a 46-year-old Kuwaiti for ransacking diwaniyas and tents pitched up in front of houses, reports Al-Rai daily.

The arrest came after the Farwaniya police received several complaints against unknown persons. The complainants said the thief stole their belongings from the tents and diwaniyas in the early morning hours.

Investigations conducted by the securitymen led to identifying the thief who turned to be a former criminal and had served time for drug abuse. The police then put the suspect under surveillance and later raided his home after seeking permission from the Public Prosecution and found the stolen goods.
