Participants in ‘Eagles Resolve 2017’ drill pose together after conclusion of the exercise
KUWAIT CITY, April 6, (KUNA): In the final field activity for the military exercise “Eagles Resolve 2017” drill, Kuwait’s Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Mohammad Khaled Al-Kheder expressed keennness on increasing combat skills for participating Kuwaiti and GCC personnel in face of potential extneral dangers. A statement releated by Kuwait’s military, on Thursday, quoted General Al-Kheder as hailing the participating forces for “unifying some military concepts and boosting their cooperation and coordination” in the field.The “Eagles Resolve 2017” drill kicked off mid-March, under patronage of Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, with participation of forces from the GCC states, the United States of America, in addition to the Al-Jazeera (Peninsula) Shield Force. The drill, first launched in Bahrain in 1999, aims to promote unity and coordination among the involved forces to counter terrorism.
