DUBAI, UAE, Oct 17, (Agencies): The curtain has fallen on Dubai Fashion Week, a spectacular showcase of regional and international fashion labels in the vibrant heart of the Dubai Design District. As the event reached its climax, the renowned Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco, celebrated for his creations worn by global stars like Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Jennifer Lopez, took center stage with his latest collection. The evening was further illuminated by the presence of British supermodel Naomi Campbell, who graced the runway for the Malaysian luxury fashion house, Rizman Ruzaini.

Cinco’s collection was a captivating homage to Spanish culture, featuring stunning capes, intricately embroidered fabrics, and oversized epaulets adorned with dazzling gemstones. The collection encompassed fiery red-and-black blazers that paid homage to the matador aesthetic, as well as corsets, skirts, and playful playsuits that added versatility to the lineup.

In a separate spotlight, Rizman Nordin and Ruzaini Jamil presented a breathtaking collection of 60 looks. Naomi Campbell radiated in a handcrafted gown adorned with thousands of sparkling gemstones. The inspiration for this collection was drawn from the enchanting tale of Seri Gumum, the legendary dragon that once roamed the dark waters of Lake Chini in Malaysia.

Prior to this show-stopping moment, a diverse array of labels vied for the audience’s attention. Anaya, Erick Bendana, Ihab Jiryis, Designers & US, and Valentin Yudashkin all graced the runway with their distinctive styles.

Anaya, the Dubai-based label founded by Kiran Chaudhry, showcased a couture collection characterized by chemise-style tops, delicate organza creations, and impeccably tailored trousers in soft, nude tones, complemented by a range of pastel hues.

Erick Bendana’s “Sky” collection featured a stunning selection of wedding dresses in shades of blue, lilac, and white, with chemise collars, floral patterns, and bold shoulders creating an aura of drama. The evening gown segment celebrated the “enigmatic beauty of the night,” featuring inky black gowns embellished with feathers, sheer fabrics, and subtle hints of shimmer.

The third and final segment of the show brought gowns in a vibrant palette of yellow, orange, pink, and red, symbolizing the dawn of a new day.

Meanwhile, Palestinian designer IhabJiryis explored the concept of recycling the past, incorporating aged papers transformed into statement accessories.

Dubai-based brand Designers & Us unveiled “The Swan Couture,” a collaborative endeavor by designers Jean Charles Zakaria, AlaaSarkis, Nivine Bashiti, and Fouad Khoury, along with their in-house talents. The collection featured delicate feather motifs, gracing the sleeves and draping entire gowns. Flowy capes, slits, cut-outs, and sheer fabrics added an air of elegance.

Lastly, Valentin Yudashkin marked its 30th anniversary with the “A Woman in Time” collection, seamlessly blending influences from the Renaissance, Antiquity, Baroque, and Art Deco periods with Middle Eastern and Asian elements.
