KUWAIT CITY, May 19: The General Administration for Narcotics Control, in collaboration with the General Administration of Customs, dismantled a criminal network comprising five culprits: a Kuwait citizen working as a customs inspector, two Syrian expats, an Indian, and two Bedouns. This network was specialized in smuggling narcotic substances. The operation involved an exchange of gunfire with one of the defendants and resistance from security personnel.

The Interior Ministry reported the seizure of 27 kilograms of hashish and narcotic marijuana, 200 capsules of psychotropic substances, 15 kilograms of suspected substances, 34 bottles of alcohol, and unlicensed firearms and ammunition. The Ministry indicated that the accused and the seized items are being referred to the competent authorities to take all necessary legal measures against them.
