KUWAIT CITY, Feb 8: A routine security patrol in Farwaniya led to the seizure of a quarter kilogram of crystal meth and a quantity of heroin following the arrest of an expatriate found in possession of narcotics, a security source said.

According to the source, a patrol from the Farwaniya dept. Police stopped the suspect on suspicion during routine checks. A search revealed four bags of crystal meth in his possession. The suspect was immediately referred to the General Department for Drug Control for interrogation.

During questioning, the suspect confessed to possessing additional narcotics at his residence and admitted to dealing in drugs. Based on the confession, authorities obtained a legal warrant and searched his Farwaniya residence, where officers seized approximately a quarter kilogram of crystal meth along with a quantity of heroin.

The source confirmed that all seized substances were confiscated and that necessary legal procedures were taken against the suspect. He was referred, along with the confiscated narcotics, to the competent authorities to complete the investigation.

The seizure comes as part of intensified security efforts to track down drug dealers and traffickers and to decisively confront any attempts to threaten the security and safety of society.
