Drug dealer attacks cop with cleaver

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 11: An officer from the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) sustained injuries when a drug dealer struck him with a cleaver while being arrested in Sabah Al Salem area in possession of one kilogram of methamphetamine (locally known as Shabu). According to security sources, two officers from DCGD, after receiving a tipoff about the suspect’s activities, were monitoring the movements of the suspect in order to verify the information. After confirming the information, they arrested him.
However, while being arrested, the suspect pulled out a cleaver and struck one of the officers. The other officer managed to control the suspect and take the cleaver from him. The officer also found one kilogram of methamphetamine on him. The drug dealer was referred with the confiscated drug to the concerned authorities while the injured officer was rushed to Mubarak Hospital for treatment.
