Drug addicts assault police, escape

KUWAIT CITY, March 13: The Al- Ahmadi investigation officers have been tasked with apprehending two men and referring them, along with others already in custody, to the relevant authorities. They face charges including assaulting a security officer, damaging a police patrol, aiding an accused person in escaping, and possessing and using drugs. According to a security source, the incident occurred during a routine patrol in the Al-Dhahr. A vehicle was observed moving erratically, prompting the security officers to signal the driver to stop. However, the driver attempted to flee before being compelled to stop. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle contained four individuals, two of whom were wanted for criminal offenses and had been sentenced to 12 years in prison.

During the attempt to arrest them, the suspects assaulted the security personnel, resulting in injuries to one soldier. Two of the suspects managed to escape and flee between the nearby houses, while the other two were apprehended. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of narcotic substances and related paraphernalia. As a result, a case has been registered against the suspects for assaulting a security officer, damaging a police patrol, aiding the escape of wanted individuals, and failing to comply with security personnel.
