Drone Strike Triggers Fire at Fujairah Facility; UAE Intercepts Missiles

ABU DHABi, May 4: A fire broke out at the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone following what authorities described as a drone strike launched from Iran, with emergency crews working to contain the blaze. Officials confirmed that Fujairah Civil Defence teams remain on-site battling the fire.

In a parallel development, the UAE Ministry of Interior warned residents of an ongoing missile threat, urging the public to stay in safe locations and follow official updates. The UAE Ministry of Defense said four cruise missiles were detected heading toward the country from Iran; three were successfully intercepted over territorial waters, while the fourth fell into the sea. Authorities added that loud sounds reported across parts of the country were due to these interceptions, emphasizing the importance of relying on official sources and adhering to safety instructions.
