Drone Strike on Kuwait Airport Kills One, Injures Several; 975 Shrapnel Reports Handled

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 3: The Ministry of Interior has urged citizens and residents to stay away from affected sites resulting from what it described as the “sinful Iranian aggression” against the State of Kuwait, stressing the importance of not approaching these areas to ensure public safety and allow competent authorities to carry out their duties. During a media briefing, the ministry spokesperson Brigadier General Nasser Al-Bousaleeb said Kuwait International Airport’s passenger terminal (T1) was targeted by hostile drones, resulting in the death of one traveler, injuries to several workers and passengers, and significant material damage to parts of the airport’s infrastructure and operations.
He added that explosive ordnance disposal teams have handled 36 new reports of shrapnel and debris from interception operations, bringing the total to 975 reports since the start of the incidents, while air raid sirens were activated 5 times in recent hours, taking the overall total to 188 activations.
