KUWAIT CITY, March 12: The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy confirmed today that six overhead power transmission lines across multiple locations were temporarily disrupted due to falling debris from the interception of several drones. The incident caused partial and limited power outages in various areas of the country.
Engineer Fatima Abbas Jawhar Hayat, the ministry’s official spokesperson, said that specialized emergency teams, in coordination with security authorities, swiftly assessed the damage and carried out necessary repairs. Power was restored to affected areas in record time, following the highest safety standards and approved technical procedures.
Hayat emphasized that the electricity and water systems remain stable, with electricity generation, water desalination, and transmission systems operating at high efficiency. Continuous monitoring is in place to ensure uninterrupted service.
The ministry urged residents to rely only on official sources for information and reaffirmed its commitment to provide timely updates on any developments. The statement also included a prayer for the safety, security, and stability of the nation and its people.
