KUWAIT CITY, Apr 1: Kuwait International Airport came under drone attack, triggering a major fire at a fuel storage site, authorities confirmed.
Abdullah Al-Rajhi, spokesperson for General Authority of Civil Aviation, said the airport was targeted by drones launched by Iran and affiliated armed groups.
According to officials, the strikes hit fuel tanks operated by Kuwait Aviation Fueling Company, triggering a large blaze within the facility.
Emergency response teams were swiftly deployed and brought the situation under control. Initial assessments indicate that the damage was limited to property, with no casualties reported.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation as investigations into the attack are underway.
