KUWAIT CITY, July 12: Kuwait's Ministry of Defense said three land border posts in the north of the country came under what it described as a "treacherous and aggressive attack" on Sunday, causing material damage.
In Statement No. 70, the ministry also said a hostile drone targeted one of Kuwait Oil Company's offshore drilling rigs in Kuwaiti territorial waters, resulting in material damage and injuring one worker.
The injured worker is receiving the necessary medical treatment, the ministry said.
Authorities said the competent agencies immediately began taking the required measures to respond to the incidents in coordination with the relevant authorities.
The General Staff of the Kuwait Armed Forces reaffirmed the military's full readiness and said it remains committed to taking all necessary measures to safeguard the country's security and protect its territory.
