Drone Attack Sparks Minor Fire at Kuwait’s Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 1:  A drone strike targeted an operational unit at the Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery, part of the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), early Thursday morning, causing a small fire, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) confirmed.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), KPC assured that no injuries were reported. Emergency and rapid response teams acted immediately, extinguishing the fire while adhering to the highest safety standards and taking all necessary precautions to protect staff and secure the facility.

Authorities continue to closely monitor the situation, and KPC stated that further updates will be shared through official channels. 

Also, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) confirmed that one of the operational units at the Abdullah Port Refinery, part of the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), was targeted by a drone, causing a fire at the site.

KPC stated that all necessary precautionary measures were immediately implemented to ensure the safety of workers and to secure the facility.
