KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20: The General Traffic Department has announced a temporary closure of the left and center lanes on Arabian Gulf Street for motorists traveling from the Engineers Association intersection towards the Amiri Hospital intersection.
The closure will begin on the evening of Sunday, October 19, 2025, and will remain in effect for 20 days to allow for essential road maintenance and improvement works.
Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution, follow traffic signs, and use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion in the affected area.
The department also emphasized that traffic patrols will be deployed to ensure smooth movement and public safety during the maintenance period.

Meanwhile, the General Traffic Department has announced the reopening of Damascus Street in both directions for motorists traveling from Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Road (Fifth Ring Road) to Ibrahim Al-Muzain Street, effective from dawn on Monday, October 20, 2025.
This decision comes following the completion of major road development and maintenance works in the Al-Salam and Al-Siddiq areas of the Capital Governorate. The reopening aims to improve traffic flow and ease congestion in residential and commercial zones connecting Fifth Ring Road, Damascus Street, and nearby districts such as Hittin, Zahraa, Qurtoba, and Surra.
The Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector has urged motorists to drive carefully, follow road signs, and adhere to posted speed limits while the new road layout stabilizes.
