Drivers Advised as Lanes Close on Fahaheel Expressway for 20 Days

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 9: The General Traffic Department has announced a partial closure on King Abdul Aziz Bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud Road (Fahaheel Expressway) as part of ongoing road maintenance works in the Mangaf and Al-Sabahiyah areas.

According to the Traffic and Operations Sector, the closure will affect the road shoulder, the left fast lane, and half of the middle lane on the stretch extending from the entrance to the Mangaf and Al-Sabahiyah roundabout tunnel to the roundabout exit towards Fahaheel.

The maintenance work is scheduled to begin at 12:00 am on Monday, February 9, and will continue for a period of 20 days.

Motorists traveling through the affected areas, including Mangaf and Al-Sabahiyah, have been urged to exercise caution, adhere to posted traffic signs, and follow instructions issued by traffic authorities to ensure safety and maintain smooth traffic flow during the maintenance period.

Road Closure from Fourth Ring Road to Friday Market Roundabout

Also, the temporary closure of Merzouk Rashid Al-Rashdan Road for vehicles coming from the Fourth Ring Road towards the Friday Market Roundabout. According to traffic authorities, the closure will take effect from 3:00 pm on Monday, February 9, and will remain in place until 5:00 am on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, to allow for essential road maintenance works. Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes during the closure period and to comply with traffic signage and instructions issued by on-site personnel to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow.

The General Traffic Department emphasized that the temporary closures are necessary to complete essential road repairs and improve traffic safety along the busy expressway.
