DOHA, Qatar, Dec 17 Dr. Satam Al-Suhaili, Chairman of the Kuwaiti Sports Media Committee, and committee member Khalil Nadoum participated in the ordinary general assembly of the Arab Sports Press Union, held yesterday alongside the Arab Cup Championship in Doha.
The assembly marked the election of Dr. Turki Al-Awad of Saudi Arabia as the new president, succeeding former president Mohamed Abdelkader, who was honored by Qatari Minister of Sports and Youth Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani for his significant contributions to Arab sports journalism.
Dr. Al-Suhaili praised the positive and collaborative spirit at the assembly, highlighting the efforts of Arab media colleagues and members in ensuring the success of the event. He also extended his congratulations to Dr. Turki Al-Awad on his election as the new president of the union.
