KUWAIT CITY, Jul 7: Kuwait's Ministry of Interior has launched a new digital service allowing motorists to download and store an electronic copy of their driver's license directly on their mobile devices through the Sahel app.
The ministry said the new feature enables users to securely download an electronic version of their driver's license and keep it on their smartphone for quick and convenient access whenever needed.
The initiative is part of Kuwait's ongoing digital transformation efforts aimed at improving government services, reducing paperwork, and making official documents more accessible through electronic platforms.
Officials said the digital driver's license can be accessed via the Sahel app, giving motorists a convenient way to carry their license electronically without relying solely on the physical card.
The Ministry of Interior encouraged eligible users to take advantage of the new service by downloading their electronic driver's license through the Sahel application.
