KUWAIT CITY, Aug 9: A brutal double murder in the Kabd area of Jahra Governorate has sent shockwaves through the community after an Egyptian national was arrested while allegedly attempting to flee the country following the premeditated killing of two expats.
The suspect was apprehended by security forces after an intensive manhunt led investigators to track his movements to the Ratqa area, where he was allegedly trying to escape Kuwait through the land border.
The horrifying incident came to light after security authorities received a report of an attack inside a livestock pen in Kabd. Officers rushed to the scene and discovered two residents who had been stabbed and had died from their injuries.
The discovery immediately triggered a major criminal investigation, with specialized teams from the General Department of Criminal Investigation launching an extensive search for the perpetrator.
Investigators combed the crime scene, gathered evidence and worked to reconstruct the events surrounding the killings. The suspected murder weapon was recovered near the scene, providing investigators with a key piece of evidence in the case.
