KUWAIT CITY, April 5: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant-General Essam Al-Naham was warned the general police not to approach anyone to further their careers in terms of promotions or otherwise, stressing this is a violation and such actions will be taken into consideration during annual reports, reports Al-Anba daily.

The decision issued by the Undersecretary confirms what is stated in Circular No. 41 of 2008 which forbids police officers, non-commissioned officers and individuals from mediating with senior Ministry officials in matters related to their career, their promotions or their appointments in administrative positions saying those who get involved in such activities violate the military discipline and undermines their dignity.

Therefore, all members of the police force have an obligation not to resort to such matters, to comply with disciplinary regulations and instructions, and to observe the military hierarchy.
