Clifton dazzles as AVC dominate Pen Friends United

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 9: In the one-sided match of JP D’Mello KIFF Premier League, Don Bosco Oratory (DBO) routed new comers Warriors FC with a tennis score of 6-0.

DBO missed multiple chances in the initial stages of the match. As the match progressed Warriors FC looked out of place. DBO took advantage and completely dominated the match. Mewin scored a hat-trick, Agnelo scored 2 while defender John Furtado scored 1 to give DBO a huge victory.

Jayden of DBO was adjudged man of the match for his skillful display in the midfield, the award was presented by Warriors FC president Babu Prasad.

In the second match of the day AVC Sports & Cultural Association came out winners with a narrow 1-0 margin against Pen Friends United. 

In the very first minute of the match Pen Friends striker missed a golden opportunity to take the lead with only AVC goalkeeper to be beaten.  From then on, AVC dominated but could not find the net.

Finally, just before the end of the first half, AVC striker Richard took advantage of Pen Friends goalkeeper’s error to score 1-0. 

In the second half both teams pressed hard but missed chances galore. 

AVC keeper was at his best in the final minutes of the match with multiple saves and ensured his team took maximum points from the match.

Clifton of AVC was adjudged man of the match. Clifton dazzled in the midfield. The award was presented by AVC Vice President Glen D’Souza.

Matches were officiated by KIFF Referees Rosario Colaco, Sameer, Rasheed, Jerry D’Mello, Robert Bernard and Myron.

KIFF season for 2019~20 is sponsored by Gulf Cable & Electrical Industries Co.

Next Friday there will be 3 matches. Don Bosco Oratory will be the day’s organizers.

6.45 am – AKFC  vs  Pen Friend United

9.00 am – Goa Maroons  vs  FC Sparx
