Domestics … inspection services – PAM wants to pack in more automation

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 14: In light of the announcement by the Public Authority for Manpower that it is organizing a workshop to activate the system to manage the recruitment of domestic workers, inspection services and look into their disputes, the specialist in domestic labor affairs, Bassam Al-Shammari, called for the need to expand the use of automated systems to include services related to domestic workers in the country, reports Al-Jarida daily. However, he stressed, that the first of these services to be launched is to issue licenses to practice the activity automatically, similar to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in addition to automatic linking with the Ministry of Interior to issue police clearance certificates to shorten the time and effort expended in this area.

Al-Shammari told the daily that one of the most prominent services that has become an urgent necessity is dealing with e-correspondence with regard to the summons issued to office owners via the e-mail in addition to the need to allow receiving complaints related to domestic workers “online.”
