Domestic worker commits suicide in sponsor’s home

KUWAIT CITY, March 18: A 41-year-old domestic worker committed suicide by hanging in the house of her sponsor in Al-Qurain, reports Al-Anba daily. A woman reported to the Operations Unit at the Ministry of Interior that her domestic worker committed suicide in the kitchen pantry by tying a rope around her neck. A security source confirmed that a forensics team rushed to the location immediately after receiving the report. They referred the domestic worker’s body to Forensics. A case of death under criminal suspicion was registered at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Police Station and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances leading to the suicide.
