KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: Cassation Court sentenced a 55-year old Kuwaiti doctor to jail term of three years and six months for gouging out the left eye of her housemaid. According to the case file, the incharge officer explained that the Kuwaiti woman tortured her housemaid almost every day.
Securitymen discovered from her criminal sheet that a case was filed against her by one of her former housemaids in 2007.
When the victim found an opportunity to escape, she fled from her employer’s house with the help of her employer’s niece and lodged a complaint against the suspect with the concerned authorities. Earlier, Court of Appeals had sentenced the suspect to four-year imprisonment.
