Doctor Attacked for Denying Sick Leave

KUWAIT CITY, July 22: An unidentified doctor was attacked by a visitor at a Jaber Al-Ahmad City clinic, reports Al Qabas daily. The incident happened when the doctor at the clinic refused to grant the visitor a sick leave because his data did not match the data in the doctor’s computer system based on strict instructions for doctors to verify the data of anyone who requests for a medical examination.

At this point the visitor, who has not been identified, allegedly lost his temper and beat the doctor. The daily said the doctor has filed a complaint with the police and reported the incident to the Ministry of Health.
