DNA Brings Down Another Kuwaiti Citizenship File, 117 Dependents Affected

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 26: The widening investigation into the intricate “Map” file has claimed yet another case, as authorities confirmed a seventh forgery, even as more than 20 related files remain under scrutiny.

This newly exposed file alone carries 117 registered dependents, pushing the total number of people entangled in the case to a staggering 587. What once appeared to be a maze of legitimate family records is increasingly revealing itself as a carefully constructed illusion.

According to the sources, the holder of this seventh file is deceased. His nationality record lists 24 sons and daughters. It was genetic science, not paperwork, that ultimately dismantled the claim. DNA fingerprinting was conducted on three of the registered children and compared with samples from those recorded as their paternal uncles—the fourteen individuals already proven to be the only real sons within the broader “Map” file, which includes 41 names.

The results were decisive. The tests categorically ruled out any biological link, confirming beyond doubt that the alleged lineage was fabricated.

Yet the consequences reach even further. Sources warned that completing the review of this file could place the citizenship status of the fourteen verified sons themselves in a precarious position. All of them, investigators believe, trace their records back to a single forged origin—an unsettling reality that threatens to pull even legitimate names into legal uncertainty.

At the heart of the case lies the primary source of the file, a Kuwaiti dual national who remains under investigation. Authorities are still gathering final documents and evidence. Once this process is complete, sources said, the entire file will be withdrawn in full, as part of a comprehensive legal procedure overseen by the competent authorities.

With each file that falls, the scale of the deception becomes clearer—and the warning sharper: in this case, forgery does not collapse quietly. It drags entire families, real and fabricated alike, into the shadows of doubt.
