He said his country, which is celebrating its 205th Independence Day, is one of the most dynamic and stable economies in the world, thanks to its responsible fiscal policies, open economy, and commitment to promote trade and investment. He indicated that Peru is not only known for its abundant natural resources, as it also offers an attractive investment environment with a modern legal framework and a broad network of free trade agreements that provide preferential access to markets, representing more than 80 percent of global gross GDP.
He affirmed that the relationship between Peru and Kuwait continues to grow at a rapid pace, adding that the two countries celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations last year. He is hoping that this momentum will continue through the new initiatives that will strengthen ties between the two nations. He urged the Kuwaiti investors to take advantage of the promising opportunities in the infrastructure, food security, mining, renewable energy, logistics, tourism, education, healthcare and digital technology sectors in his country.
He asserted that economic diplomacy is not limited to trade and investment exchange, as it is also based on building trust, strengthening communication between peoples, and exchanging expertise to achieve shared prosperity. Aside from the Independence Day celebration, the embassy also organized the Peru Investment and Trade Fair, which showcased Peruvian products and industries like premium coffee, quinoa, other high quality food products, traditional textiles, and mineral resources such as gold and others.
