KUWAIT CITY , Dec 27: Hayef Al-Mutairi, Vice President of the Football Association for Technical Affairs, expressed sincere regret for the recent disruptions to the norm and fair play observed during the matches between Al-Arabi and Al-Shabab, as well as Al-Nasr and Al-Salmiya in the eleventh round of the Zain Premier League.

Al-Mutairi disclosed that the newly formed Disciplinary Committee, under its new president and vice-president, is closely monitoring all events within the stadiums. It is committed to addressing any actions that undermine Kuwaiti football with firmness, emphasizing the Board of Directors’ confidence in the judicial committees’ ability to enforce penalties that promote accountability and deter future violations.

Emphasizing the importance of upholding sportsmanship, Al-Mutairi urged the rejection of negative phenomena in Kuwaiti stadiums, particularly in the Zain Premier League, where this season has showcased high standards and intense competition for all positions.

In a related announcement, Al-Mutairi revealed that the Zain Premier League will pause after the completion of the fourteenth round on January 9, resuming on January 26. During this hiatus, the national team will embark on an external camp in Cairo from January 9 to 22, engaging in two friendly matches against the Libyan and Ugandan teams on January 12 and 19. Additionally, the Olympic team is set to hold an external camp in Thailand from January 9 to 22.
