Digital Civil ID approved to be used for arrivals and departures

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 17: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation stated that based on the instructions of the relevant authorities in the country it has been approved to use digital civil card issued by (Kuwait Mobile ID) app for use on the ports, airlines, tourism and travel offices and airports of all countries of the world.

This circular also includes allowing travelers arriving and departing through Kuwait International Airport to use this application that facilitates several procedures.

The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has addressed both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior and Civil Aviation to use the Kuwait Mobile Id as a proof of residency of an expatriate when traveling.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed to circulate to its affiliated bodies such as foreign embassies in the country and Kuwaiti embassies abroad, as well as to the Ministry of Interior to allow expats to enter and exit into Kuwait by using my identity application.

Al-Asousi added that everyone who has a digital civil card can use the application to prove his residency and then enter the country through it and it can be used for all official procedures as it replaces the original civil card in accordance with the ministerial decision. No. 1 of 2020.

Al-Asousi further stated that the digital civil card can be downloaded using the Kuwait Mobile ID application on smartphones for Kuwaiti citizens as well as expatriates who hold valid residence that can be used for all official and private authorities in the country.
