Did He Jump or Was He Hit? Expat in ICU After Collision with Luxury Car in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, April 27: The Ministry of Interior has launched a full investigation into a dramatic and disputed incident in the Al-Rehab area, after a citizen driving a luxury vehicle claimed that an expatriate deliberately threw himself in front of his car, leaving the man critically injured.

According to a security source, the Ministry’s operations room received an urgent report of a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian in the area. Emergency security teams from Farwaniya rushed to the scene, where confusion quickly surrounded the circumstances of the collision.

The driver of the luxury vehicle told investigators that the expatriate, born in 1974, suddenly threw himself onto the road and into the path of the car. Authorities, however, have not yet verified this account.

The injured man was immediately transported to Farwaniya Hospital, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit due to the severity of his condition. Meanwhile, the driver has been taken into custody as part of a hit-and-run case investigation.

A security source noted that detectives are expected to carefully examine the Kuwaiti citizen’s statement, with surveillance camera footage from the area likely to play a key role in reconstructing the incident and determining whether it was an accident, a deliberate act, or something else entirely.
