KUWAIT CITY, Jan 19: The Embassy of India in Kuwait, in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) – Kuwait Chapter, organized the “India–Kuwait AI Impact Dialogue 2026” on 19 January 2026 at the Salwa Sabah Conference Center, Kuwait. The Dialogue was convened as a precursor to the prestigious “India AI Impact Summit 2026” scheduled to be held in New Delhi from 16–20 February 2026. The event brought together leading professionals and experts from Kuwait’s Information Technology ecosystem, creating a dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas and insights. Discussions centered on key themes including AI-driven innovation, ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence, capacity building, and potential India–Kuwait collaboration in emerging digital technologies.

In her remarks, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, H.E. Mrs. Paramita Tripathi emphasized India’s commitment to leveraging AI for inclusive development and strengthening partnerships with friendly countries such as Kuwait, in the fields of research, technology, education, health, energy and innovation, and highlighted India’s advancements in AI and digital technologies. She stated that India has rapidly positioned itself as a leading global hub for artificial intelligence, supported by a robust talent base of over five million tech-professional communities. She further noted that India ranks among the top countries worldwide in both AI skill penetration and AI being integrated into critical sectors including healthcare, agriculture, finance, education, and governance, driving higher productivity, accelerating innovation, and promoting inclusive growth. A key catalyst for this progress is India’s strong digital public infrastructure.

The Ambassador also pointed that India’s startup ecosystem is one of the largest and fastest-growing in the world, with over 1,00,000 startups, including more than 100 unicorns. A growing share of these startups are AI-led, developing solutions in fintech, health tech, climate technology, logistics, smart cities, and enterprise automation. With continued focus on talent development, ethical AI, and international collaboration, India is strengthening its role as a leading contributor to the global digital and innovation economy.

The gathering was also addressed by Mr. Rohit Agarwal, Chairperson of the (ICAI) - Kuwait Chapter, who welcomed this initiative and spoke on the importance of collaboration between the technical sectors of India and Kuwait. The Keynote speaker from India was Ms. Nithya Subramanian, Senior Director Data and AI Code - Best Buy, who addressed the session on “Building an AI-Ready Organization: Data Culture, Digital Literacy & Leadership”. Mr. Jamal Al-Humoud, Founder and CEO of Journey Consulting, Kuwait led the discussion on “Building Trustworthy AI: Safety, Security & Governance in the Age of Generative AI”. An engaging interactive Q & A session was also held for the attendees.

 The ‘India-Kuwait AI Impact Dialogue 2026’ forms an integral part of the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to showcase India’s growing technological prowess, particularly in the field of Artificial Intelligence and emerging digital technologies. The initiative highlights India’s capabilities in innovation, digital public infrastructure, and responsible AI, while providing a platform for meaningful exchange of ideas, expertise, and best practices.

The ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ was announced by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, at the France AI Action Summit in February 2025. A premier global platform, the summit will bring together world leaders, policymakers, industry pioneers, researchers, and innovators to shape the future of Artificial Intelligence through dialogue, collaboration, and policy exchange. Scheduled to take place in New Delhi on 16 to 20 February 2026, the India AI Impact Summit will mark a historic milestone as the first-ever global AI summit to be hosted in the Global South. The event underscores India’s growing leadership in the global AI ecosystem and its commitment to promoting inclusive, responsible, and human-centric AI for global good.
