DGCA ready for ‘7 summer seasons’

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 4: The Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) was prepared for the ‘seven summer seasons’ this year – Ramadan season, school holiday, Eid al-Fitr, summer vacation, Hajj season, Eid al-Adha and passengers return season,” reports Annahar daily quoting General Manager of the DGCA Engineer Youssef Al-Fawzan.

Al-Fawzan told the daily, the DGCA is following up the activity at four vital airports in Kuwait Airport – the T4, Sheikh Saad Airport, Jazeera Airways – and the future T2, which is supervised by the Ministry of Public Works and will be completed in 2022.

He noted that the Kuwait International Airport receives annually more than 15 million passengers and in the summer alone 6 million passengers travel back and forth, stressing that the DGCA has prepared all the plans and strategies for the Hajj this year.
