KUWAIT CITY, May 12: The Public Prosecution has ordered the provisional detention of a citizen for 21 days and referred him to the Central Prison. The prosecution also decided to detain a former lawmaker on Sunday to complete investigation and ordered the arrest of several others. The defendants had published statements on their personal accounts on the social networking site ‘X’ voicing objection to the rights and authorities of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. They have also been accused of defaming HH the Amir and criticizing the Amiri entity.
