Detention extended for ‘Liquor Yacht’ smugglers

KUWAIT CITY, May 26: The detention renewal judge has extended the detention of the defendants in the ‘liquor yacht’ case for 14 days, reports Al- Seyassah. The defendants include the friend of a famous social media personality identified only as YB and the captain of his yacht – a Filipino.

They have been accused of smuggling about 700 bottles of liquor through the sea port. The Public Prosecution released YB on bail of KD5,000 after interrogating him about the liquor found on his yacht, while his friend and the captain were referred to the Central Prison pending investigations
