Detention extended – Bail denied again

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 29: The detention renewal judge extended for another 14 days the detention of 12 out of 21 defendants, including four money changers, in the Hezbollah Cell case for the fourth time, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The 12 defendants and their lawyers were present in the recent session.

The lawyers demanded for the release of their clients with any guarantee that the court deems appropriate. Once again, the defendants denied all the charges filed against them. The defendants are facing charges of espionage, membership to a prohibited group, money laundering,and endangering the relationship of the State of Kuwait with neighboring countries.
