KUWAIT CITY, July 18: The Ministry of Health is currently coordinating with its Interior counterpart in finding quick solutions, including deportation, for long-stay expatriate patients in public hospitals who have been discharged as their treatment has been completed but did not leave the hospitals for various reasons, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources. Sources said the ministry is gathering information about these patients — their names, medical conditions, discharge date and fees.

Sources revealed the ministry will send these details to its interior counterpart to start procedures for these patients to leave the country. Sources pointed out this will reduce pressure on the health system that has been dealing with the corona pandemic for one year and a half now, as a significant number of beds will be allotted for other patients who are suffering from chronic diseases or the critical corona patients.
