KUWAIT CITY, Nov 11: The Kuwait Meteorological Department forecasted the possibility of fog formation in several parts of the country starting Tuesday evening, particularly over coastal and island regions.

Acting Director of the Department, Dharar Al-Ali, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather maps and numerical models indicate Kuwait will be affected by an extension of a high-pressure system from the northwest. The system will be accompanied by a moderately warm and humid air mass, with light to variable northwesterly winds expected to shift to southeasterly by Friday.

Al-Ali explained that as humidity levels rise beginning Wednesday, the likelihood of dense fog will increase, potentially reducing horizontal visibility to below 1,000 meters in some areas.

He noted that fog formation is likely to persist through the weekend, with gradual cloud cover expected in the coming days. Light scattered rain may also occur on Saturday evening, he added.
