KUWAIT CITY, Jan 24: Ministry of Islamic Affairs Undersecretary Dr. Suleiman Al-Suwailem confirmed the disbursement of salaries owed to imams and muezzins for September and October 2025. In a press statement, Al-Suwailem emphasized that the causes of the delayed salary payment have been resolved; therefore, salaries for subsequent months will be paid once the administrative procedures are finalized. He stated that the ministry remains committed to ensuring that everyone receives their entitlements, guarantees regular salary disbursement, and simplifies procedures in line with the laws and regulations.

“To guarantee job security for those in religious positions at mosques, the ministry is closely monitoring the remaining salary disbursement procedures in coordination with the concerned entities to ensure prompt payment,” he added. He praised the Civil Service Commission (CSC) for its cooperation and quick response to the requests of the ministry. He also expressed gratitude to the oversight bodies for easing the procedures, thereby boosting efficiency and serving the interests of the public
