Defense Minister Reviews Kuwait Airport Expansion and Aviation Development Plans

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 25: Kuwait’s Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah on Thursday emphasized the importance of continuing to develop the country’s civil aviation system and enhancing its readiness in line with the highest standards of security, safety and operational efficiency.

According to a statement issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the minister made the remarks during a visit to the authority, where he was briefed on key development projects and ongoing plans at Kuwait International Airport.

The visit reviewed efforts aimed at advancing Kuwait’s civil aviation sector, supporting the country’s air transport system and strengthening the role of the sector in line with national development goals.

The minister was received at the DGCA headquarters by DGCA Chairman Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah and several senior aviation officials.
