‘Decision to lift ban on Pakistanis in the hands of Manpower & MoI’

pakistanKUWAIT CITY, March 24: The relationship between Kuwait and Pakistan remains strong and continues to develop along with positive commercial cooperation, whereas there has been no problem in terms of the presence of Pakistanis here, says Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and State Minister for Planning and Development Hind Al-Subaih.

Al-Subaih made the statement recently when she attended the Pakistan National Day celebration organized by Pakistani Ambassador to Kuwait Ghulam Dastgir. Responding to questions from journalists, Al-Subaih revealed she discussed with the ambassador various ways of fortifying cooperation in the labor sector and continuation of visitation exchange between the concerned bodies. She pointed out the decision to lift the ban on Pakistanis is in the hands of the Public Authority for Manpower and Interior Ministry.

On the other hand, Dastgir disclosed the joint committee between the two countries will meet in Islamabad, Pakistan soon within the framework of developing ties in various fields. Talking about the visa issue among Pakistanis, Dastgir voiced optimism adding that the value of commercial exchange between the two countries is estimated at $3 bill
