KUWAIT CITY, July 12: The Court of Appeals, presided over by Judge Salah Al-Houti, upheld the ruling of a lower court to execute an Indian man for the premeditated murder of his wife after their marital dispute. Case files indicate that the defendant purchased a hammer from a scrapyard in Amghara and used it to repeatedly hit his wife, causing her death. He later transported the body and dumped it at Salmi desert in an attempt to conceal the crime.

The Public Prosecution charged the defendant with premeditated murder and requested that the maximum penalty be imposed on him. Then, the Criminal Court sentenced the defendant to death, a verdict upheld by the Court of Appeals.
