Deadly Sabah Al-Ahmad Fire Leaves Mother Dead, Children and Workers Hurt

KUWAIT CITY, May 13: A huge fire broke out in the house of a Kuwaiti family in Sabah Al-Ahmad, resulting in the death of a Kuwaiti woman and injuries to three of her children and two domestic workers. According to a security source, the Operations Unit at the Ministry of Interior received information about the fire. Security and ambulance personnel were quickly dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters evacuated the family members and referred them to the emergency medical services (EMS).

The source disclosed that the Kuwaiti woman died upon arrival at the hospital, while her three children and two domestic workers are currently undergoing treatment. The source affirmed that the firefighting teams started an investigation to establish the actual circumstances leading to the fire incident. In a related statement, Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) revealed that firefighting teams from Al-Kout and Arifjan fire stations put the fire under control. KFF added that the fire caused injuries to five individuals, two of them are in critical condition and they were transferred to emergency medical services.
