Dawri Zain’s standout players recognized

KUWAIT CITY, June 23: Zain Kuwait recognized a number of the most outstanding players in the Dawri Zain Premier League with its “Best Player of the Round” awards for the current 2025/2026 season. This came as part of its ongoing partnership with the Kuwait Football Association and in continuation of its efforts to contribute to the growth of the Kuwaiti football experience and elevate its presence across the local and regional sports scenes.

The players were recognized at different stages throughout the current season, including at Zain’s HQ in Shuwaikh and during the live broadcast of the popular Bil Center program on Kuwait TV Sports. This initiative reflects Zain’s belief in the important role of the local private sector in supporting and developing local sports and in taking them to new levels.

Zain presented the Best Player of the Round award, valued at KD 500, to Kazma’s Nasser Faleh for rounds six and fifteen, Qadsia’sAbdullah Al-Awadhi for round eight, Al-Arabi’s Sulaiman Abdulghafour for round nine, and Al-Kuwait’s Yousef Nasser for rounds ten, twelve, and nineteen (the Championship Group’s first round).

Al-Kuwait’s Mohammed Daham was also honored for round eleven, Al-Nasr’s Talal Jazea for rounds thirteen and fourteen, Al-Nasr’s Ali Hasan for round sixteen, Al-Salmiya’sAbdulrahman Al-Fadhli for round seventeen, and Qadsia’sYousef Al-Haqan for round eighteen. The winners of the remaining rounds will be honored soon at Zain’s upcoming Excellence Awards ceremony.

Before the start of the current season, the Kuwait Football Association formed a technical committee comprising former international players with extensive experience to set the technical criteria and standards for selecting the winners of Zain’s incentive awards. The committee includes Mohammed Al-Failakawi, Committee Chairman; Samir Dashti, Vice Chairman; Adel Yousef; Hussein Hakem; and Nawaf Al-Khaldi.

For the fourth consecutive season, Zain continues to fulfill its promise to support athletes, players, and fans through its incentive awards, presenting the largest prize pool in the history of the local league, with a total exceeding KD 60,000 in a single season. This comes as part of the company’s efforts to encourage promising athletic talent, motivate players to deliver their best, and present the league in the best possible light to Kuwaiti fans.

Zain’s awards this season include KD 10,000 for Player of the Season, KD 5,000 for Top Scorer (professionals), KD 5,000 for Top Scorer (locals), KD 5,000 for Best Goalkeeper, KD 3,000 for Best Coach, KD 2,000 for Rising Star of the Season, and KD 500 per round for Player of the Round.

Zain’s annual Excellence Awards ceremony is set to be held soon, bringing together a selection of Kuwaiti sports stars, media figures, and prominent sports personalities in the presence of senior officials from the Kuwait Football Association. The ceremony will honor the winners of the main award categories mentioned above, celebrating an initiative that has contributed to the league’s strong performance in recent seasons, raising the level of play, adding more excitement and energy, and offering a renewed experience for fans and football lovers.
